15 Days Tour: Morocco Grand Tour
1st Day: From Casablanca to Rabat
We greet you and drive to Casablanca and then to Rabat. In Casablanca, you visit the Hassan II Mosque, the larger than Mecca in Saudi Arabia. You experience the coastal seaside. Afterwards, we leave for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco, where we usually spend the night in a riad located in the middle of Rabat.
2nd Day: Casablanca via Rabat to Chefchaouen
Breakfast begins the day. We visit the Hassan Tower in Rabat and then we drive to Chefchaouen via the city of Knitra and the Rif Mountains. We keep going to the north via Wazzan city and other Rif villages. We intend to be in Chefchaouen by the early afternoon.
3rd Day: Let’s Explore Chefchaouen
An eventful day in Chefchaoun is awaiting you. So, to explore is to do your best in one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco. It is one of the amazing villages in the Rif Mountains. The Chefchaouen town is a Spanish-style and designed square engulfed by many funky arts and crafts stores, fascinating restaurants and cafes. At night you spend your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beautiful nature.
4th Day: From Chefchaouen via Volubilis toMeknes and Fes
Your breakfast starts the day in the accommodation. The exciting journey will start towards Volubilis. We cross via Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we visit the Roman remains and explain the events about the archeological site and its Moroccan history. After visiting the ruins, we make our way to A 17th centure heritage city, Meknes. We stop here for lunch and hang out at the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail’s shrine . Later on, we drive directly to Fes city, where you will spend the night.
5 th Day: Fes Sightseeing
The breakfast is in your riad. You start exploring the oldest city in Morocco as they say. We walk in its alleys and small streets. Our visit begins with visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter/Mellah. We make sure that you visit amazing sites with cultural and historical monuments and loads. They include the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine and Mulay Idriss. Then lunchtime comes. You pay a visit to the tiles cooperative. Afterwards, you experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
6th Day: Fes to Midelt
You leave Fes travelling towards Ifran at 12:00, “the Switzerland of Morocco” to Midelt. On the way the journey you experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. We tend to have a Stop in Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the cedar forest. This forest is considered the biggest in Morocco. You may see Barbary apes. After sometime of handfeeding them within the forest, your journey keeps on to Midelt along the hills and mountains of the Atlas. In the city of Midelt you are accommodated in a luxurious hotel, Taddarte hotel. Taddart is to feel at ease in a Berber Language.
7th Day: From Midelt via Erfoud to Merzouga.
Breakfast is in your hotel at first. We drive to Merzouga through Errachidia and Erfoud. We are to go through the fascinating Tiz N talghamt/ the pass of shecamel and the Ziz Gorge. We take views of the High Atlas plateau; you observe how the scenery changes to show beginnings of the desert the more you approach the city of Errachidia. Here we would have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you travel along the magnificent Ziz Valley and stop for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani.
We arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. You are welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you start your camel ride. Then, you are to spend an overnight on the desert camp with Berber music
8th Day: From Merzouga to Ramlia village
Your guide and camel man are there to get you up early in the morning to observe what might be the best sunrise of your life. You peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower, you leave for Ramlia village. It is a remote area in desert. There you come in touch with the local people and experience rurality of Berber Moroccans. It is a very small oasis. You have the chance to observe the projects of Friends of Nomads. Dinner and Breakfast are offered by your hotel.
9 th Day: Ramlia Village – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley
When breakfast time is over, the day has just started. We drive off-road in the beautiful black desert crossing Berber oases of palm trees, until we reach Alnif town. It is a place known for its fossil industry, where we have a stop for a drink. Then we continue our journey through the high Atlas Mountains to see the stunning gorges of Todgha. It is where springs of water move between the rocks and enjoy the views of natural beauty. In back of the visit to the gorges, the journey continues through the mountains of the Dades Valley. It ends our day and spends the night in a nice hotel located on the top of the mountain to enjoy an overview of the valley and the mountains.
10th Day: from Dades valley via Ouarzazette to Marrakech
Breakfast is in your hotel. You travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The way through Dades Valley epitomizes the way of the thousand kasbahs – proffering numerous opportunities. The latter are to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley rroses and city of ouarzazate when you pass by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is touted as the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui. He is one of the last Berber chieftains. Nowadays it is one of the UNESCO heritage site. We shift the way to cross high Atlas Mountains full of panoramic views and Berber villages all along the way to Marrakech.
11th Day: Marrakech – Essaouira
The disturbance of Marrakech city is vanished when you travel to the peaceful and beautiful Essaouira/Mogador. This ancient citadel on the West Atlantic coast of Africa literally means “wall” in the Berber language. Travelers from all over the world come here to experience the very special weather, and explore its diverse and unique history. It is like Agadir. As we leave Marrakech, we drive through lush valleys filled with orange groves, ancient olive trees and working farms on the drive to the coast. For a while, we get in Chichaoua, where we can take a short break for a coffee or snack. Once you have the chance to refuel a bit. We continue on, soon coming upon our first signs of the Argan trees. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. They are now endangered; they are under the protection of UNESCO.
After all of your morning travels, you arrive in Essouira, where you have the chance to wander the ancient streets and can think. Here, you can dine on fish straight out of the sea at any number of local restaurants, and can even have a camel ride on the beach, if you want!
12th Day: From Essaouira to Marrakech
Breakfast is in your accommodation. We depart back to Marrakech. On the way, since this is the land of Argan culture the opportunity to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil is given. We make several stops to take photographs; you continue your travel to Marrakech and check-in to your riad. After dinner, you enjoy walking within the famous square of Jemaa Elfna, entertained by magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Overnight in a riad in the Medina.
13th Day: let’s Discover Marrakech
The breakfast in our tours is necessary. You start exploring Marrakech the red city of Morocco. We ensure that you observe the most beautiful sites of historical and cultural loads. They are the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. Lunch time proceeds at a restaurant near the square. After that you walk through the souks and see hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you have some leisure time to wonder and roam the parts of the city.
14th Day: Free Day in Marrakech
So special is this day that you have the chance if you like to join the cooking class to learn how to cook a Moroccan dish, or you make it an easy and relaxing day as you wish.
15 th Day: Transfer to the airport
We will drive you to the airport and provide assistance if necessary.
