1st Day: From Fez, Ifrane, Midelt, Erfoud and Rissani to Merzouga
The tour starts in Fez. Our first mission is to pick you up from your accommodation then drive south to Ifran and Azrou through the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way to these cities, we normally stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their habitual lives. The city of Midelt is a colonizer-created city. Midelt is a missing link between the southeast and north of work. It is door to desert or door to the north. It has got a strategic site. It was the second city in Morocco to witness the connection to electricity. We go through Tizi N talghamt (the pass of shecamel) to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges. Later, you descry your prelude to hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. This city used to be called Ksar Souk. After lunch we continue our tour through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, in the direction to Merzouga. Just after a glass of mint tea, we safely leave our luggage and ride a camel to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi. It is an area full of sand Dunes, which are tauted “the highest in North Africa”. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the residency to the camp, where we are to set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents respond to high standards of good reception where mattresses, blankets, and cushions are available. Dinner comes in back of our arrival and some rest. We gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars. What a great feeling is this!!
2nd Day: From Merzouga via Todra Gorges to Dades Valley
We usually advise our clients to have breakfast first; because health conditions bring about certain vibe in the tour. We usually get up early to relish a fascinating sunrise on the dunes. Lter on, we ride a camel back to the hotel and have shower. As to breakfast, it comes just after arrival. Then, we head to Tinghir and Todra gorges and ultimately arrive in the Dades valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night. They are going to be so enjoyable.
3rd Day: From Dades Valley via Ouarzazate and High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech
Yes, breakfast is the first thing today. We drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley provides numerous photo opportunities. We visit the Roses valley and Skoura village. We continue to Ouarzazat, whereby the city is tauted as “the Hollywood of Africa”. Afterwards, lunch is programmed to be at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah that is the most widespread Kasbah in Morocco. We are always ready to pay a visit to this UNESCO World Heritage site in view of its cultural and historical value. The journey continues through the fascinating Tizi n Tichka, Amazigh words which translate into English as The Pass of Tichka. It reaches an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We tend to have stops to enjoy the impressive views and visit the Argan oil cooperative. Our arrival to Marrakech would be late afternoon.
